In this section I am going to take you through the whole process of setting up your blog from registering a domain to finally going live. By the way I have made the powerpoint presentations so you can use them on your blog if you want and will show you how to do that later.

For this process I will use the systems I am currently using however feel free to find your own if you want. They all basically work the same. If you can learn the principle then the rest is easy.

By the way if your just starting can I suggest you also use Firefox as your browser as it has a lot of tools and features you will not get in IE. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ In fact we will show you how to blog right out of the browser

So let me take you through the process. The first two will be your only two expenses for a while as we provide the rest.

1. We will register a domain and for this I use either Name Cheap or Godaddy. I am tending to go for Name Cheap now as Godaddy makes you navigate through to much advertising to get to the end. Its a good idea to host all your domains in one site for administration purposes. When you get a few and also maybe some hosting customers you will be so glad you put them in one place.

2. Register for some hosting so you can host your domain. I suggest you get a reseller package at either Hostgator or Site 5. What this allows you to do is host a number of sites for both yourself and others. Don’t be lured into the single hosting package which is cheaper as you cannot resell the hosting and this can be a good income generator for you.

3. We are going to install blogging software called Wordpress. It is free and has a huge community which provide many free templates and plugins which we can use. It is a simple install if you used the hosting above. Just knowing this can make you a lot of money setting up blogs for others.

4. Customize the installed software is where we will take you through how to make your blog so it is more compatible and suit your needs. The default install is not how everyone want to set up the different preferences.

6. Learn the skills of FTP - we will be adding a lot of different things to your blog to give it whole range of special features and this requires us to upload files to your server. This tutorial will show you how easy it is.

5. Themes and templates is next to add some pizaz to the program so I have found a number of great templates for you. Depending on what you are wanting to do we have a number of different solutions. We have some normal blog templeates, some CMS ones and even developed a few with drop down menus for you. These are only available to Blogging Empire members. We will show you how to customize for your specific needs.

6. Ecommerce is essential for collecting funds and there are some plugins and systems you can use to make this a hassle free process. Just remember to respect the people that are paying you money and also the companies providing you with the service.
